Ivy Chim, LMSW is a New York-based therapist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, sexual abuse, racial and intergenerational trauma. Ivy holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She is a trained yoga teacher and certified breathwork facilitator.

With a former career in geography and cartography, Ivy believes that  therapy is a creative and dynamic mapping process. She will work collaboratively with you on the recovery journey. With compassion and curiosity, she will guide you to explore your inner world and navigate emotional terrains. Ivy is committed to hold space for you to feel and express, be seen and heard, and to support you to heal and grow.

Ivy integrates therapeutic modalities including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness practices. She takes a heart-centered, mind-body approach to psychotherapy while considering everyone’s individual needs and goals.
