David earned his Master of Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, where he focused on clinical practice. He is passionate about helping clients feel less alone and more connected, particularly those who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or weighed down by past experiences. David brings warmth, curiosity, and steadiness to his work as he supports clients navigating a range of challenges, such as suicidal thoughts, grief, chronic illness, eating disorders, family conflict, and the challenges of emerging adulthood. As a queer therapist, he offers LGBTQIA+ affirming care, including support for individuals exploring their gender identity.
David draws from Internal Family Systems and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, using a trauma-informed approach that honors clients’ experiences and respects who they are. He sees his clients as the experts and himself as a guide, offering empathy and connection as they explore life’s challenges and opportunities for healing.
In his free time, David enjoys long walks with his sighthound, board games, and painting. He is committed to supporting those he works with as they navigate life’s complexities and move toward healing.
