Samantha Mittman is a licensed social worker who obtained her master’s degree from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service. Her experience in the field includes inpatient mental health, emergency room psychiatric services as well as private practice. She has received training in cognitive behavioral therapy and has extensive experience working with adolescents, parents and young adults.
Samantha’s areas of practice include psychotherapy with individuals navigating life transitions, romantic / platonic relationship challenges, family-based conflict, those with anxiety, depression, OCD and PTSD. Additionally, she greatly enjoys parent coaching & support and coaching for individuals struggling with activities of daily living. Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic theory and other result-driven interventions, Sam joins her clients in their challenges and triumphs to discover an adaptive path towards their individual goals.
With an emphasis on open communication, compassion and acceptance, Sam strives to build a strong therapeutic alliance so that no matter what her clients are facing, they feel safe and supported.
